Florida Fuel Connection Announces $75 Million Capital Investment In Louisiana Rail Terminal Project

BATON ROUGE, La. — Today, Gov. Bobby Jindal and CEO John H. Armbrust of Florida Fuel Connection LLC announced the company will make a $75 million capital investment in Louisiana and build a petroleum terminal and rail transportation facility in East Feliciana Parish, near the Mississippi River. The complex will provide a starting point for the shipment of gasoline and other fuels via rail to Florida, which lacks pipeline connections to regional oil refineries and primarily imports its fuel stocks by marine vessels.

Gov. Scott Announces Florida Fuel Connection Will Create 50 Jobs in South Florida

HENDRY COUNTY, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced that Florida Fuel Connection (FFC) will establish a petroleum product logistics and distribution facility in Hendry County, near the city of LaBelle. The project will create nearly 300 construction jobs over a 14 month period and 50 full-time jobs, with a capital investment of more than $300 million. FFC projects to add a second facility in South Florida in 2017.

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. July 28, 2015-­‐Florida Fuel Connection, LLC (FFC) today announced a new integrated logistics and transportation project that will promote energy security for consumers in Florida and Georgia by delivering petroleum products via pipeline and rail to Florida’s southwest, inland lake, and eastern coastal and central regions. FFC will build three new petroleum terminals and    truck racks in Waycross, Georgia and in Hendry and south Florida counties, which will create jobs, enhance supply security, reduce truck traffic and transportation costs and improve air quality in the region.
